香蕉传媒 achieves King's Award for Innovation, being one of 197 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious . Announced today (Tuesday 6 May), 香蕉传媒 has been recognised for its excellence in innovation. A total of 199 Awards are made with only two companies being recognised with two Awards.

香蕉传媒 designs and manufactures ultrasonic sensing technology to monitor internal corrosion and erosion. The technology was originally conceived by during his PhD at the . Together with , and they spun-out the company from the University in 2015. The company now employs 40 people and has thousands of sensors deployed globally, enabling customers to reduce costs and digitise their corrosion monitoring.

The King鈥檚 Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen鈥檚 Awards for Enterprise, were renamed in 2023 following the accession of His Majesty King Charles III. The Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in innovation, international trade, sustainable development, and promoting opportunity through social mobility.

Now in its 59th year, the programme remains the most prestigious business accolade in the United Kingdom, recognising companies that demonstrate excellence, innovation, and significant contributions to the UK economy and society. Recipients of the King鈥檚 Award gain national recognition and are entitled to use the highly respected King鈥檚 Awards Emblem on their products, marketing materials, and communications for a period of five years, signifying their credibility and commitment to excellence.

Winners also receive an official Grant of Appointment and are invited to a royal reception, providing valuable networking opportunities and public recognition that often supports further business growth.
